Summer School 2018-Week 1 Day 5

A week goes by so quickly and before we knew it, it was already Friday.
For the last day, the children went on a Scavenger Hunt looking for different types of insects.
Each group found most of the insects along the way but all of the groups never encountered a cicada, although they were able to hear the loud sound of the cicadas close by.

For art, the children were challenged to make their own unique insects.
We reviewed that an insect has three body parts, 3 pairs of legs and two antennas before the activity.
Their insects turned out wonderfully.

We all had a great time together.
For those who are not returning, I wish you a safe and fun summer.
For those who are returning, I will see on Tuesday!

Here are the pictures from today.

 Found a dragonfly!
 Looking for the water-strider.
Look at all of the insects we found so far.
 Making an insect.

 Wow! Great Job!
